New dress

Here is the dress that I intend for Rebecca to wear when Abby gets christened in September. I just have to finish the hem and slipstitch the bodice down around the zip. Oh my goodness am I sick of gathering after finishing this one! I might try a dress without gathering to do for a change. I don't know how people can finish something like this in one day. I did it in three nights by the time I do the hem. But then I suppose I do have a toddler and a four month old to run around after. Oh and excuse the singlet that my model has on, a bit cold to model without.

I have also included a piccie of Abby taken this morning. We had a bit of fun putting her in the washing basket with some props!

Corduroy sewing

A pair of pants for the big girl and a pinafore for the wee girl. I loved the pinafore pattern it was so easy to sew and took a few hours to put together. Will be making both again.

First dress for months

I finally decided that I needed to do some sewing. I did this dress this afternoon and have made one for Abby too. I just need to finish off the hem on Abby's.

More baby sewing

Ah, the last of my sheet sets sewn yesterday. I have now got the hang of this fitted sheet thing. I found that if I sewed both sides of the elastic down I got a lovely finish on the edge and it fitted so much better than just sewing down one side close to the edge. Also this is my change mat. As you can see the sheets match. I have put a close up of the material too. Now onto another project.

Baby sewing

These pictures need no more explanation. Blankets, flanelette wraps and sheets made for the nursery.

Another skirt

The blue version of Rebecca's skirt, got it finished last night. Have already started another top for her that I got cut out on the same day so watch this space.

New top and spotlight stash

I finally made this little top that I had cut out before Xmas, it is the same as the pants I made, however I do not intend to put them on together as that would be too much. I am quite happy with the end result and am going to make another in different colours. Also got to spotlight for the first time in ages. Spent quite a lot of elastics and notions but here are the fabrics that I bought also. Loving the dora satin!!

Playmat

Simple play mat for bubs. I had no idea what to do with this material and then decided that would be the perfect use for it. Nice and bright and still practical. I sewed the opening closed with velcro and will use some wadding inside for some cushioning.

Sheet bag for kindy

I finally did some more sewing, not very original but sewing all the same. Hope to have enough to make her a sheet from the same also for kindy!

New skirt

I finally did some sewing. I made this skirt this afternoon and am very happy with it. I just have to adjust the elastic when my model wakes up tomorrow. I am going to make one in blues now as I am so happy with this one.

Strawberry top

I made this top last night and finished it this morning. There are a few different things I would do next time. I would criss cross the straps as they are too long and they keep falling down or sew some ribbon between them. I have to take them up and am concerned that the top will then be too tight. I would also do the strip of elastic at the back a bit different. However all that said and done, I am pleased with the end result, not a very good photo but you get the main idea. Someone did not want her photo taken and it took a lolly to get the shot I did lol. The material has tiny strawberries all over it.

Canvasses for baby

This involved no sewing but did involve material lol.
However they are not too straight :0(( will have to fix that up.

Christmas dress

Hi. This is the dress that I made for my friends daughter who will be three months at Xmas. The little pants look really good underneath.

Christmas dress

Well I finally got it done. It is by no means anything too hard or exciting but I am happy to have done it - well in time for Christmas. Had to bribe Bec to try it on though lol. Just the hem to do so forgive the threads hanging down.

Cushions all finished.

Finally I have all four cushions finished. The last one has a bit of a tuck in one area as it was cut out a little wonky but it is just a cushion after all. They will get a work out I am sure. How good it feels to be finished a project. I can now start this darn xmas dress.

Another completion

Well I finally have something else to show off. I made these pants about a week or two ago but have only just put elastic in tonight. Love the model!! LOL I think I saw this fabric in someone elses blog.
